Solano, CA – Motorcycle Crash with Major Injuries on I-80 E/Columbus Pkwy.

Solano, CA (September 21, 2025) – A motorcycle accident on Interstate 80 East near the Columbus Parkway off-ramp left a rider with major injuries on Sunday afternoon, September 21. CHP officers responded to the scene at about 3:06 p.m. after reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.

When officers arrived, they found the injured motorcyclist on the roadway. Paramedics quickly treated the rider before rushing them to a nearby trauma center for advanced care.

The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Traffic was slowed in the eastbound lanes as crews cleared the wreckage and ensured the roadway was safe. CHP officers are continuing to investigate the events that led to the crash, including whether speed or unsafe lane changes may have contributed.
