Gold Run, CA (October 19, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 80 westbound near the Emigrant Gap Road off-ramp on Sunday afternoon, October 19, leaving multiple injuries reported. The accident involved a green pickup truck hauling a trailer and a gold pickup truck, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officials confirmed that one of the vehicles veered into a ditch after the impact, while the trailer caused additional traffic hazards in the slow lane. Emergency responders, including medics, were dispatched to assist the injured parties. At least one juvenile was involved in the crash, though their condition has not been released. Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles from the shoulders of the roadway, and debris had to be cleared before lanes were reopened. Investigators continue to determine the cause of the crash.
