Auburn, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash with Injuries on I-80 E/Riverside Ave.

Auburn, CA (October 19, 2025) – A two-vehicle accident occurred early Sunday morning, October 19, on I-80 eastbound near Riverside Avenue, resulting in injuries. The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash, which happened around 5:06 a.m., involved a gray Toyota 4Runner SUV and a Ford pickup truck. One of the vehicles was left facing the wrong direction in the center divider while the other was pushed onto the right-hand shoulder. The collision also created debris hazards across multiple lanes, briefly blocking traffic. Emergency crews, including Roseville Fire personnel, provided on-site care before transporting at least one injured party to a nearby medical facility. Tow trucks later removed both damaged vehicles, and lanes were reopened after a temporary closure. CHP officers are actively investigating the events leading up to the crash.
