
Fairfield, CA – Fatal Crash Closes Eastbound I-80 Early Tuesday Morning


Fairfield, CA (October 14, 2025) – A deadly crash shut down several lanes of eastbound Interstate 80 early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers responded to the scene on October 14, shortly after 2:20 a.m., near Manuel Campos Parkway following reports of a severe collision. The crash blocked the right lanes of the freeway, causing significant delays for early morning commuters.
By approximately 4:40 a.m., authorities confirmed that all lanes had reopened after investigators cleared the scene and emergency crews completed their response efforts. Details regarding the number of vehicles involved or the identity of the deceased have not yet been released.
