
Oakland, CA – Motorcycle Crash with Injuries on I-80 E/Central Ave.


Oakland, CA (September 20, 2025) – A motorcycle collision on Interstate 80 East at the Central Avenue off-ramp left one rider injured on Saturday afternoon, September 20. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:23 p.m. and involved a motorcycle and an unidentified vehicle. Witnesses reported the motorcycle went down in lanes two and three before bystanders helped move the rider to the right-hand shoulder.
The injured rider was conscious and awaiting medical care when officers arrived. Paramedics responded to the scene, and the motorcyclist was transported for further evaluation. Authorities temporarily blocked traffic in the affected lanes while clearing the motorcycle. The Oakland Police Department also responded, and CHP confirmed that the roadway was reopened after the vehicles were moved.
