Jasper County, IA – Crash with Injuries on WB I-80 Near Newton

Jasper County, IA (September 18, 2025) – A crash on westbound I-80 near Newton on Thursday, September 18, blocked traffic for approximately an hour and a half. The Iowa Department of Transportation closed the westbound lanes between Exit 173 (County Road T22) and Exit 168 (Iowa Speedway Drive) around 5:30 a.m., and a detour was put in place for drivers.
