Sacramento, CA – 2 Hospitalized After Crash on I-80 EB Near I-5

Sacramento, CA (August 29, 2025) – Two people were hospitalised after a collision on Wednesday afternoon, August 27,  on the eastbound Interstate 80 Freeway in Sacramento.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash happened around 3:53 p.m. just west of the I-5 interchange. A white box truck and a black sedan were involved in the accident.

Emergency personnel arrived and treated two individuals who were injured. One patient was transported to UC Davis Medical Centre with moderate injuries, while the second was taken to Mercy San Juan Medical Centre with injuries that have not yet been detailed.

Several lanes were blocked while first responders worked to assist victims and investigate the crash.
