Alta, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-80 at Crystal Springs Rd

Placer County, CA (September 26, 2025) – A motorcyclist lost their life on Wednesday afternoon, September 24, following a multi-vehicle collision on I-80 Eastbound at the Crystal Springs Rd overpass near Alta.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 3 p.m. and involved at least two vehicles and a motorcycle. The exact sequence of events leading up to the collision has not yet been determined.

Sadly, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead as a result of the accident. No other injuries were reported. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased.
